In the external staircase of Farmhouse CasAmanda, which leads directly to one of the rooms, the style of the first cantilevered ramp, in exposed concrete and iron, contrasts with the more traditional second one, in masonry, covered with terracotta strips. On the ground floor, characterized by concrete flooring, the kitchen, the dining room, and the living room share the same space and look out through large windows.

Upstairs, the rooms take advantage of the height of the Tuscany Maremma wooden roof and, open up unique views towards the lagoon on the horizon, to the south.

Along the small country road, the volume interrupts the continuity of the sandstone wall, but it dialogues with it as if it were its own derivation.

About Italian Maremma

The Maremma extends for about a quarter of the territory of Tuscany Maremma, between the provinces of Livorno and Grosseto. Dante in the Divine Comedy had already defined the boundaries between Cecina and Tarquinia in Upper Lazio.

What makes the Maremma unique, making it a perfect microcosm, is the diversity of its territory and charming farmhouse. Sea, hill, and mountain blend and color the landscape differently. The blue of the crystalline sea of the Argentario, the black of the rocks of Talamone, the yellow of the long beaches of Castiglione Della Pescaia, the green of the hills of Massa Marittima, and the brown of Monte Amiata.
